Who we are

Bark and Hare is a pet care business operated by Charles Campbell, sole trader, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. For anything relating to your personal information, contact charles@barkandharepets.co.uk or call 07394 592 414.

What we collect

When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service you're interested in, and anything you tell us about your pet. If you become a client, we also keep the practical details needed to care for your animal — your address, access arrangements, your pet's routines, and any veterinary or emergency contact information you provide.

How we use it

We use your information solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange and deliver pet care services, and keep in touch about your bookings. We do not sell your information, share it with third parties for marketing, or send you marketing you haven't asked for. The lawful basis for this processing is the performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one) and our legitimate interest in running the business.

Who processes it

Our contact form is delivered by Formspree, which transmits your enquiry to our email. Our email is provided by Google Workspace. Both act as processors handling your data on our behalf. This website itself does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become bookings are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for the duration of our working relationship and for up to 6 years afterwards, in line with standard business and tax record requirements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to ask for it to be deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
